High performance Elevvo is a neurotechnology for cognitive enhancement directed to professionals that work with individuals with high cognitive performance demands. The technology has been patented, developed and evaluated by Bitbrain in collaboration with six international scientific institutions. This advanced technology includes programs for cognitive improvement with individual and adaptative training interventions, and neurocognitive and neurophysiological evaluations.

Elevvo is a brain-computer interface technology designed to generate, through learning mechanisms, neuroplastic changes in brain activity that mediates with cognitive capacities.

Where do I apply it?

The scientific studies that have demonstrated the efficacy of Elevvo have been carried out with the general public, with ages between 20 and 50 years old, and with university students aged 20 and 30 years old. To this date, there are no studies focused on a specific sociodemographic or sociocultural profile.

What the laboratory includes

Elevvo High Performance includes hardware technology for the recording of brain signals, and software to carry out the sessions comfortably, Intervention and Follow-up Programs, and result Reports for user follow-up.

1. Hardware

Elevvo High Performance equipment is a portable electroencephalogram (EEG) system for the recording of brain activity. It is a mobile and, wireless equipment that does not require conductive substances to operate. Placement time is under 2.5 minutes, on average.

2. Base Software

Elevvo software enables management of users, execution of Intervention and Follow-up Programs, and processing of result Reports.

3. Programs

Elevvo High Performance Programs are designed for the achievement of peak cognitive performance, and are oriented to professionals who are submitted to high cognitive demands. The Programs include neurophysiological and neurocognitive Evaluations, and automated Training Sessions for different types of population and needs.

4. Reports

Elevvo Reports are created automatically and enable the objective evaluation of the results obtained in the Intervention, both at neurocognitive and neurophysiological levels.

How is it used?

Elevvo is easy to use thanks to its predefined Interventions and Follow-up Programs that adapt to each participant. The Intervention Programs are specific to each population segment and are constituted by Evaluation Sessions, Training Sessions, and generation of Final Report. The Follow-up Programs enable the repetition of an Evaluation Session and generation of a Report to evaluate the convenience of repeating the Intervention or continue with the Follow-up Program subsequently.

Intervention Program (Evaluation Sessions)

The Evaluation Sessions are carried out at the beginning and at the end of each Intervention Program, where cognitive tests and neurophysiological recordings are executed. The cognitive tests evaluate cognitive functions such as working memory, processing speed, sustained attention, and changes of attention. The neurophysiological recordings to record the EEG and measure the tonic and phasic brain activity (e.g., spontaneous and evoked potentials, and time-frequency maps).

Intervention Program (Cognitive Improvement Sessions)

Between 5 and 10 Training Sessions that last 30 minutes each, with a frequency between 2 and 3 sessions per week. The sessions are constituted by four steps: 1) The EEG setup where the software assists the professional during the placement of the equipment; 2) The calibration where the brain activity is recorded and used to individualize the intervention to the participant; 3) The execution of the training where the difficulty level is set during the calibration step; 4) The report summary of the results of the session.

Intervention Program (Final Report)

At the end of an Intervention Program, Elevvo creates a Report with the results of the cognitive tests and neurophysiological recordings (pre- and post- Program), as well as with the evolution of the brain patterns during the sessions. Additionally, according to the cognitive improvement achieved, the report includes a follow-up recommendation: new evaluation after 3-6 months or repetition of the Program.

Follow-up Program (evaluation and report)

After 3-6 months, a Follow-up Program takes place, including neurocognitive and neurophysiological evaluation. This way, the technology generates a comparative report with the most recent Programs executed, and additionally includes a recommendation: new evaluation after 3-6 months or repetition of the Program.
