Tobii Pro screen-based eye trackers

Tobii Pro screen-based eye tracker technologies are complete research systems perfect for studies in and outside of the lab. This family includes the Tobii Pro Nano, Tobii Pro X3-120 and Tobii Pro Spectrum devices, which have been developed to obtain objective data of human visual behaviour evoked by the stimuli displayed on the screen, ensuring outstanding robustness and accuracy.

This family of eye trackers, with a sampling rate from 60 to 1200 Hz, depending on the devices and your research needs, is designed to cover a wide array of human behaviour research. It comes with an intuitive and powerful software platform for easy calibration, recording and real-time visualisation. Tobii Pro provides the most advanced screen-based eye trackers, being the world leading in precision.

Combine this technology with other devices such as EEG or other biometrics, to obtain deeper insights into human behaviour.

Bitbrain only sells Tobii Pro eye trackers while acquiring any other compatible Bitbrain equipment.

Main components

Portable screen-based equipment

The X-series is a portable and light eye trackers family meant for labs that need easy mobility while keeping data quality at the highest standards.

In Lab eye trackers

The Spectrum line up is the top of the line eye tracking equipment. To be used on the most challenging situations or when the best temporal and spatial precision and accuracy is needed.

How to use

How to use it

To record eye-tracking data, place the device in the lower and central part of the screen as explained in the manual. After a quick and easy calibration of the participant, the researcher starts the recording from the software which is an intuitive, powerful platform to collect data in real time. Use your screen-based eye tracker with other biometric technologies for a perfect sync recording and to obtain a full vision of participants behaviour.

  1. Preparation: Place the tracker on the screen using the mounting brackets (X-series) or place the tracker on the table (Spectrum). Connect the USB or Ethernet cable to the computer and install the software.
  2. Set up: Prepare your experiment in the associated software and start a recording.
  3. Calibration and recording: Prepare your experiment in the associated software and then follow the instructions to proceed with the calibration. Once the calibration is finished, you’ll be ready to start your recording.
  4. Clean and storage: Clean the sensors with wet wipes and store Hero in its own case.
