Portable semi-dry EEG cap

These all-purpose semi-dry EEG caps with 8, 16, 32 and 64 channels are mobile EEG devices for real-time recording. They are designed for versatile monitoring in a wide range of environments, providing great comfort to the researcher and freedom of movement to the user. Its water-based EEG electrodes can be placed in any position or the predefined layout within 10/20 and 10/10 international system, and have been developed with highly stable contacts and active shields that allow reliable and precise monitoring even in ambulatory conditions or in the presence of electromagnetic noise. 

Its ease of use and comfort, together with a quick placement that does not require any electrolytic gels to be applied, open a large number of possibilities for use both in the laboratory and in outpatient out-of-laboratory research applications.

Versatile EEG comes with the Bitbrain Software Kit for signal acquisition and programming, which has a large compatibility with real-time I/O and third-party data processing (LSL, Matlab, Python, BCI2000, OpenVibe, etc). Also, by acquiring the Human Behaviour Research Lab, it can be performed a seamless synchronisation with other human monitoring technologies such as ExG, GSR, eye-trackers, indoor positioning system, among many others.

EEG Cap

Flexible designs that adapt to the morphology of each head (S, M, L and XL sizes). Sensors can be placed in any position or following the predefined design within the international 10/20 and 10/10 system.

EEG amplifier

Mobile, small and light amplifiers (from 83 g of 8 channels) that record with a resolution of 24 bits at 256 Hz. They also have an internal IMU (6 DOF), and a relative online impedance control system. With microSD recording or Bluetooth connectivity with more than 10 meters of range and up to 6 hours of continuous recording.

Learn how to make the set up of the Versatile EEG with 16 channels in less than two minutes.
How to use it

Clean, quick and easy set up in just a few minutes. Versatile EEG headset works with absorbent materials moistened with tap water. It comes with an intuitive, powerful software platform to collect data with the help of visual cues to assure quality montage and monitoring.

 

  1. Preparation: Introduce the moistened sponges in the sensor’s orifices. Measure the head from front (nasion) to back (inion) and from left to right to locate Cz, to locate the central part of the head. Swipe down until the cap is fully fitted and attach chinstrap. Connect is to the amplifier and place the clip on the ear lobe. 
  2. Set up: Wait 10 seconds and move the sensors that are not green yet to ensure they are in contact with the scalp. Repeat until there is good signal quality in all the sensors. 
  3. Test: Blink, bite, close your eyes, move your arms and walk around to check that the EEG is not affected.
  4. Recording: Now you are ready to record you data and to export you EEG recordings afterwards.
  5. Clean and storage: Clean the sensors with wet wipes and store Versatile in its own case.
